Historic St George's

Lots of history, by George!

Travel through time and discover the hidden delights of St George's, starting with the Kalinago, the Indians of South America, who arrived by canoe in Grenada more than 1,500 years ago - long before Columbus sailed to the new world and sighted the island. On this tour you view Grenada's Georgian architecture, French fountains and cobbled walkways left by the European settlers and see how they influenced this cultural melting pot.

Beautiful St George's harbour is often referred to as the "Portofino of the Caribbean" and while there you can learn about Julien Fedon, a revolutionary of the 1700's and contemporary history with the 1979 revolution and the American intervention in 1983. There's more to St George's and Grenada than meets the eye and on this tour you also visit the bustling market and surrounding shops to buy unique gifts and souvenirs.
