1 Changdeok Palace Tour
Changdeok Palace Tour

The soul of Seoul

Visit the palace where Korea’s last king and Korea’s last princesses lived and died. Then it’s on to Insadong which is one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul, with its numerous traditional antique shops, art galleries, souvenir shops and restaurants which are all along a narrow alley. You also visit the bustling Namdaemun Market which is a great place to buy cheap goods.

Changdeok Palace was built during the 5th year of the reign of King Taejong (1405) as a royal villa. It was later used as royal residence when Gyeongbok Palace was burned down during the Japanese invasion in 1592. Since the site of the palace is not level, the layout of the buildings is designed in such a way that architectural forms adapt to the changing natural terrain.
