Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Ushuaia

On your first day in Chile you check in at San Martin, Ushuaia and board your luxurious cruise ship which will be home for the next four days. The captain and crew give a welcome cocktail reception on board, and afterwards the ship departs for the journey through one of the most captivating wilderness regions in the world.

Day 2: Cape Horn to Wulaia Bay

Sail through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to Cape Horn National Park, where you disembark. The mythical cape is a sheer, 1,394-foot high rocky promontory. For years it was an important navigation route between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, and it is known as the End of the Earth. In the afternoon, go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, where Charles Darwin landed in 1833, during the voyage of HMS Beagle. This area is renowned for the mesmerising beauty of its vegetation and geography.

Day 3: Pilotoe to Nena Glaciers

In the morning sail through the desolate Brecknock and Ocasion channels, to reach Cockburn Channel. After lunch, arrive at Chico Sound and disembark in Zodiac boats to explore Alakaluf Fjord, and see its beautiful waterfalls and observe the Piloto and Nena glaciers from the sea. You will learn about the formation of glaciers and their influence in the geography of the region’s channels.

Day 4: Magdalena Island to Punta Arenas

Early start and go ashore on Magdalena Island, in the Strait of Magellan. The island was an essential source of supplies for navigators and explorers in the past and is inhabited by a huge colony of Magellanic Penguins which can be seen during your walk to a lighthouse, or take a Zodiac boat ride at Marta Island to observe sea lions. Later sail to Punta Arenas, where the tour ends.
