Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bridgetown, Barbados

You board the Royal Clipper in Bridgetown, capital of Barbados, with plenty of time to explore before she sets sail. On the wild and rugged east coast of the island, the isolated beaches are the colour of sunrise, the red sands having blown all the way across the Atlantic from the Sahara. Bridgetown is an interesting place full of contrasts. George Washington slept here and Trafalgar Square reminds you that the laid back island's British influenced heritage includes revered traditions like cricket and high tea.

Day 2: Rodney Bay, St Lucia

Your first stop on the cruise is the beautiful Windward island of St Lucia. Its 238 square miles are covered with rain forests, banana plantations, palm lined beaches, mountains and even a drive-in volcano. Pretty sights are to be seen at Diamond Falls and Mineral Baths where you can walk through the gardens and take a dip in the pool under the waterfalls. One of St. Lucia's truly spectacular attractions is the Pitons, two volcanic cones rising up from the sea that have become a symbol of the island itself.

Day 3: Cabrits, Dominica

Today after another memorable night on board enjoying the great food and entertainment, the Royal Clipper docks at Cabrits on the island of Dominica, a dream-like island, full of surprises. Glide through a steamy orchid-festooned rainforest in a fascinating boat ride or hike to breathtaking Trafalgar Falls and a bubbling lake. As with all destinations of the cruise, there are whole range of fun and informative tours that can be booked on board.

Day 4: Falmouth Harbor, Antigua

Plenty to see and do today when the Royal Clipper glides into Falmouth Harbour on the lovely island of Antigua. Here you can visit the dockyards, marinas, old inns, venerable pubs and join the convivial crowds of sun-tanned yacht crews . . . this island is the epicentre of the Caribbean yachting world. Today, every faded pink brick and weather-worn bollard of Nelson's Dockyard evokes the presence of the greatest naval commander in history.

Day 5: Basseterre, St Kitts

Today your luxurious super yacht arrives at the town of Basseterre on the island of St Kitts. This was the site of the first successful colony in the British West Indies. Here you can shop in colourful Basseterre, play a round or two of golf or tour old plantation houses. For the adventurous, there's a brisk hike through the rainforest seeing lots of exotic animals, birds and plants. Plenty of tours to choose from in St Kitts or you can go ashore and explore the island under your own steam.

Day 6: Iles des Saintes

If you have already done lots of sightseeing during the cruise today may be the time to relax and soak up the Caribbean sun when you dock at Friar's Beach on the small islands of Illes des Saintes. On this thoroughly entrancing group of islands, lying off Guadeloupe, you can enjoy the superb beaches, go snorkelling, diving and take part in some of the many other watersports on offer. One thing is guaranteed, you'll have a great day at this little visited destination.

Day 7: Martinique

The final island on your wonderful cruise is Martinique, which is the classic French Caribbean island. Wild and mysterious, yet urbane and sophisticated, it is France with a tropical twist, with something for almost everyone. Despite all the great food you have on board, you won't be able to resist the charms of spicy Creole cooking and the tempting boutiques in Fort de France are a great place to buy souvenirs. Tonight enjoy your final dinner of the cruise as you sail back to Barbados.

Day 8: Bridgetown, Barbados

Today your memorable cruise around the Windward Islands comes to an end when the Royal Clipper arrives back at Bridgetown, Barbados. Say farewell to the crew and new found friends and see more of the sights before heading to the airport to catch an onward flight or begin your journey back home. If you have got the taste for the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle, you could well extend your holiday in Barbados by staying at one of the many beach resorts.
