Tobago lies so close to South America that it boasts an extraordinary range of wildlife. Its beaches, reefs, bird, animal and plant life are amazing - and that's probably why Daniel Defoe had Tobago in mind when he penned his classic, Robinson Crusoe. The local, though, are definitely Caribbean, their slow-paced life only interrupted by the lively beat of calypso. You'll have to get here soon though. Who knows when the crowds hear there's still supposed to be buried treasure here?
