This tour appeals to those looking for more independence than is possible by motor coach. There is room to be spontaneous! - Stop the van, take a picture, go for a swim, walk a mountain path, have a picnic or just enjoy the views from the veranda of a café. Day 1: Vancouver / Kamloops / Clearwater
Your guide will meet you at your hotel this morning. Travel out to the Fraser River Delta and into the Coast Mountain Range past Hope and on to Kamloops and Clearwater.

Day 2: Jasper
Spend the morning in Wells Gray Provincial Park; see Helmcken and Dawson Falls. Head North and watch the Canadian Rockies arise
in front of you. Lots of stops for wildlife watching. You'll be awestruck by Mount Robson and other endless broad vistas! Wind up the day in Jasper.

Day 3: Ice Fields Parkway / Lake Louise / Banff
Today we travel the famous Ice Fields Parkway stopping along the way to capture the sights and sounds of placid lakes, rushing glacier water and the local wildlife! See Athabasca and Dome Glaciers as well as Peyto and Bow Lakes. End the day with a tour of Banff.

Day 4: Lake Louise / Banff
Enjoy the beauty of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake with a stroll along their shores. Take a mountain walk to the famous Lake Agnes Tea House; return to Banff for free time or optional tours of the Banff Springs Hotel, the Cave and Basin, or Sulphur Mountain Gondola. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Yoho and Glacier National Park / Rogers Pass / Shuswap Lake
Leave the wide valleys of the Rocky Mountain National Parks to discover the equally magnificent Glacier National Park with its deep, rugged valleys and Spiral Railway Tunnels. This journey takes us along the Canada #1 highway through historic Rogers Pass and the Columbia Mountains. Later
in the day arrive at Shuswap Lakes, which boast a thousand kilometres of shoreline nestled in green hills and valleys.

Day 6: Whistler
Leave Shuswap area and head for the Caribou Highway, famous as the main route of the Klondike gold rush. Prepare for the steep ascent and descent through the Coast Mountain Range into the resort town of Whistler. Whistler is renowned for its world-class skiing. Stroll through the village, enjoy tea or a cold beer in one of its many street-side cafes and bistros below snow-capped peaks.

Day 7: Whistler / Vancouver
Free time to enjoy shopping and morning coffee in the village, a gondola ride to view glaciers and mountains, or a game of golf before returning to Vancouver along the ocean-hugging Sea to Sky Highway. We will bring you to your downtown hotel by about 5 o'clock. |
