Research reveals pricing trickery with some online travel sites
Although you might find a cheaper pair of headphones on Amazon than in the shops, or a better value flat online than in an Estate Agents, going online doesn't always mean that you'll get things cheaper. This especially rings true with booking your holidays online.
Whilst you might see those headphones that were in your basket appear in targeted ads on other websites, you'll still be paying the same price for them (most likely). However, a study has found this not to be the case with online travel. The results found that certain factors and bits of information shared with these websites (via cookies) will affect the price you pay on your next holiday.
