Now, we all love a holiday, that's pretty obvious. However, some of us kid ourselves with reasons for not going, reasons which are based on misconceptions or, sometimes, just wrong. If you think you might fall into that category, or need to convince someone who is, keep reading!
1. "It's too expensive"
Not necessarily. As with most things, it's all about planning and timing. For example, based on current exchange rates, there has seldom been a better time to go to Europe (especially Greece) or Brazil, where your money will stretch further. It goes without saying that you should avoid the school holidays at any cost (pardon the pun), but instead plan ahead and take the most unpopular times if possible, you'll be surprised how much you could save!
2. "I don't have the time"
If you don't have the holiday to book off work, you are forgiven. If you have even a few spare days though, you have little excuse. Build your holiday around a weekend and all of a sudden you have a 4 day break. Plenty. Clearly, you won't want to go too far afoot, the travel time will nullify what little time you have and jet-lag for a few days away isn't appealing. Again, Europe is a solid bet, with sorely tempting offers consistently available in Greece, France and Portugal (among others) for a weekend of sun and fun!
3. "It's too much hard work"
Whilst it's often fun and rewarding to do all of your own research, admittedly it can be rather time-consuming. Some of you social butterflies won't find either the time or the motivation to do the leg work yourself. That's where we come in. At DialAFlight, our friendly travel experts do all that work for you, booking your holiday and drawing on their own experience to recommend excursions and hotels to suit your needs and wishes. You tell us what you want and we will be happy to help and we'll probably recommend one or two things you might have missed on your own.
4. "I've already been away this year"
Yes, but what did you actually do there? Were you active all the time? - maybe it's time for a relaxing break. If you lazed on the beach, perhaps consider going to do some sightseeing. It's in our nature to crave something new and we all know that variety is the spice of life - so mix things up a little! Travel with someone new, go somewhere else or discover a new side of somewhere you've already been.
