Water park giant Wet ‘n’ Wild has opened the doors of its latest park, Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas. The new water park offered Gold Pass holders early admission on Saturday, before opening to the rest of the public later that weekend.
The multimillion dollar water park is expected to attract millions of visitors each year, helping Las Vegas’ tourism industry. The outdoor amusement park offers a range of rides suitable for both families and thrill seekers alike.
"Las Vegas is the perfect place for us with its residential base and millions of visitors, particularly for the Wet 'n' Wild brand," said Tim Fisher, majority owner of Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas and CEO of Village Roadshow theme Parks. "The response and support for Wet 'n' Wild Las Vegas has been tremendous, and bodes well for an exceptional inaugural season."
The grand opening event on Saturday saw development team members, employees, park investors, local dignitaries and their friends and family all welcome the official opening of the new water park. An online auction took place earlier in the year for the chance to be the first slide riders on one of the park’s 25 slides and attractions.
The idea to build a water park in Las Vegas was the brainchild of Roger Bulloch and his brother and partner Scott Bulloch. "We've created a beautiful place where families can enjoy memorable experiences and help youth build character through employment," said Bulloch, during the opening ceremony.
