Those of us that fear we are going to be alone this Valentine's Day now have a simple solution – go on holiday! According to a recent survey carried out by Intrepid Travel and MySingleFriend.com, people find those who take an interest in travel more interesting and ultimately more attractive than those who don't!
If it’s too late to take a trip and return in time to woo your potential Valentine's day suitor then fear not, apparently even talking about an interest in travel makes you seem more adventurous according to 89 per cent of those surveyed. Keen travellers were also perceived as curious about the world, open- minded and cultured.
Sarah Beeny, Founder of MySingleFriend.com advised that "having shared interests is important for most relationships, so if you're searching for a partner with a passion for seeing the world, make sure you mention your travel aspirations and show off some of your best holiday or travel photos to boost your chances of finding someone with similar interests."
The survey has even offered those with a partner some helpful advice on where to go on your first trip together as a couple. Ladies looking to treat their beau to a trip away should get off-the-beaten-track and explore new culture whereas men looking to treat their new sweetheart should take them on a city break that involves galleries, museums and monuments, according to the survey.
So whether you’re single and looking for love, or happily settled with the person of your dreams there is now no excuse not to take a trip away!
