Today, we're bringing you details on what's new in the USA!
Kicking off with one of the biggest additions to one of the biggest attractions of the States, Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida has completed the construction of the two highest points of their new ride opening this summer. Cobra's Curse is a 'snake king' ride which involes an exhilarating free-spin finale to get the blood pumping.
The focal point of the ride is unsurprisingly serpent-based and riders will be taken within inches of a towering snake's head, complete with four-foot fangs and all after a tense 70-foot vertical lift. It doesn't stop there though, with guests getting cosy with the ride's snake exhibit, including Jameson's mambas, Angolan pythons and rhinoceros and gaboon vipers.
Sticking with the amusement park theme, SeaWorld California has excited guests with the announcement of a major new attraction to arrive in 2017. With the promise of creating an "epedition of wonder across the seven seas", SeaWorld's Ocean Explorer will combine multiple aquariums, rides and digital technologies to bring an immersive experience to its guests, focusing on exploration and adventure.
The overall aim of the attraction will be to inspire guests to protect the bounty of the oceans and this is furthered by Ocean Explorer beinf based in a series of undersea research bases which house aquariums and activites. The centrepiece though, will undoubtedly be the mini-submarines that take guests to new depths, sending them on missions to collect data and learn how they can help marine wildlife. All this, whilst getting closer than ever to octopuses, jellyfish and spider crabs.
Over to Houston now, where some exciting news has emerged for those of you looking for some retail therapy. This spring, Houston will welcome the arrival of a brand-new state-of-the-art Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store.
The iconic superstore from New York will be one of the major highlights of the recently renovated Houston Galleria, the city's premier shopping and tourist attraction for the past four decades. Now, Houston will boast 400 stores and 190,000 square ft of luxury, tax-free shopping with plenty of restaurants and two high-rise hotels. Add to that a full-scale ice rink and a top-notch children's play area and there's little doubt that this will draw in the visitors.
And finally... American Airlines is teaming up with Uber to develop a streamlined door-to-door service, helping customers get to the airport and back. Customers will be able to set an Uber reminder on their American Airlines e-ticket confirmation and will be able to navigate themselves to the nearest pick-up locations with the American Airlines app.
