The world’s best private islands available for rent

We all dream of luxury holidays - 5 star rooms in an exotic location where the views are to die for and the food is divine, but for some, the fantasy doesn't stop at a swanky hotel - imagine a private island all to yourself, a haven where you can rule the land for a week and be waited on hand and foot.

Private islands are not a realistic dream for most of us, but what you may not know is that some islands are available for rent, making the fantasy a little bit more reachable, well, in comparison. Here are some of the best islands available for rent around the world.

Isla Tagomago

Located near the party island of Ibiza, Isla Tagomago has long been the temporary home of choice for artists, athletes, politicians and celebrities. A week-long stay at this private paradise will set you back a whopping £86,311.

Musha Cay

Musha Cay is the ultimate Bahamas holiday island and is available for rent from £24,800 per night, though guests are required to stay for at least four nights. This island has 40 beaches and its previous guests have included Oprah Winfrey and John Travolta.

Dolphin Island

Located in Fiji, Dolphin Island is a little piece of heaven on earth. A stay on this luxury island that is bursting with beauty will set you back around £5,200 per night.

Ile des Deux Cocos

This private island is just a five minute boat ride away for beautiful Mauritius. Relatively cheaper than some of the other islands available for rent, you can stay at this white beached island from just £1,424 per night.

Ariara Island

Just over an hours flight away from the Philippines is Ariara Island, a peaceful paradise available from £1,800 to £3,500 per day, depending on how big the party is. The island offers plenty of activities such as windsurfing, water skiing and scuba diving.
