The USA has been struck down once again with Prince Harry fever, as the country welcomes the world’s most eligible royal bachelor for a week long visit to promote Britain and its charities.
The prince has charmed America, and particularly its female population, since gaining fame during a well-publicised and notorious holiday in Las Vegas. His wild ways on that trip will likely be curbed on this occasion however, as Harry attends official receptions at the White House and the British Embassy, before heading to Arlington Cemetery to pay his respects to fallen soldiers, dropping in on Jersey, the area ravaged by Hurricane Sandy, and then attending the Warrior Games in Colorado, a Paralympic-style event for injured servicemen and women.
Wherever Harry goes, he is likely to cause frenzied excitement. Indeed, Las Vegas Mayor, Carolyn G. Goodman is convinced that he had a positive effect on tourism in the city after his visit there. She said, “Prince Harry is always welcome in Las Vegas. When he was here everyone was talking about it. We welcome him back with open arms.”
Governor for New Jersey, Chris Christie, was certainly buzzing with anticipation at the chance to spend some time with the prince, but promised things wouldn’t get out of hand this time, saying "I'm going to be spending the entire day with Prince Harry, and believe me, nobody is going to get naked."
Officials will be hoping that even if Harry does keep his clothes on this time, his visit will still help to boost the profitable tradition of tourism between the USA and the UK.
