New York

New York is a Halloween town

New York's Halloween village parade is the largest Halloween street parade in the world. With over 50,000 participants and two million spectators watching roadside, the parade is definitely worth a Halloween trick (or treat) this October. With DialAFlight, the UK's leading travel operator, you and you're family could be heading to the big apple, on October 31st, to join in the celebrations- with cheap flights to New York available right now. The Halloween village parade is into its 38th year, and is a popular staple with New Yorkers and tourists alike. To join in the street parade, you must be in costume; however you won't be missing out on the fun even if you're not as over two million people come to watch the parade each year from the roadside. You can imagine the wildly imaginative costumes created: New Yorkers certainly pride themselves on flair, but it's not all about the scary looking costumes, brightly coloured face paint and giant puppets. There's also 53 bands scheduled to play live music throughout night, and professional dancers and artists helping create a vibrant party atmosphere amongst 50,000 street 'walkers'. The parade usually kicks-off at 7pm, slowly making its way down Sixth Avenue and ending at outside Webster Hall at 10:30pm. For those who are old enough: don't worry the party won't be stopping prematurely, Webster Hall gets turned into a 'spooky' club for the remainder of the night with live music and cash prizes up for grabs too. Commenting on the parade, a spokesman for DialAFlight said today "With Halloween just around the corner, New York is already gearing up for this year's, world renowned, Halloween village parade. However it's not too late to fly across the pond and join in with the celebrations. We [DialAFlight] are delighted to continue offering customers cheap flights to New York throughout the Halloween period." "Speaking as someone who went to the parade two years-ago, I can safely say it was the best Halloween experience I've ever had - amazing." New York is an extremely popular place to visit over the Halloween period, but that doesn't mean you should miss out on this year's celebrations. Visit DialAFlight's website and book your cheap flights to New York now.
