The Isle of MTV Malta festival is set to return to the island for its seventh year this June. The annual free outdoor music festival will see an all-star international line up perform to crowds of 5,000 who have flown to Malta for the event.
British pop sensation Rita Ora is set to headline the free gig, which will be held at II Fosos Square in the picturesque town of Floriana, Malta. World renowned artists such as hip-hop artist will.i.am, DJ David Guetta and dance collective Rudimental will also be taking to the stage at the music extravaganza, hosted by MTV.
“The partnership with MTV is now in its seventh year and is delivering once again the much awaited Isle of MTV Malta Special,” said Hon. Karmenu Vella, Malta’s minister for tourism. “The free open-air concert as well as the Malta Music Week has become one of the most established events of the summer music calendar attracting fans from all around Europe and beyond. The Isle of MTV Malta promises to be a spectacular concert and a great music event.”
Since its inception seven years ago, the Isle of MTV Malta has become one of the hottest music events of the festival season. The rise in the event’s popularity is due to its idyllic setting at Folriana’s open-air II Fosos Square and the fact the concert is free for all to attend.
