Foodies rejoice! The Good France event is back for its second year, bringing with it a global celebration of the country's highly regarded gastronomy. On March 21st, over 1500 chefs around the world will be cooking up a treat - French Style - to showcase the very best of what the cuisine has brought us. Naturally, Paris will be the best place to take it all in, so here are selection of its finest restaurants.
First up, something perfect for vegetarians at the sleek Dessance restaurant. Offering innovative, seasonal dishes Dessance will put concoctions you never thought possible on your plate, with some of the most visually appealing and colourful offerings anywhere in the capital.
This unique gourmet restaurant prides itself around its use of fruits and vegetables, with results that celebrates sweetness, whilst still maintaining a natural taste. This artistic eatery is aptly only a short walk away from the Picasso National Museum, so you'll have plenty to feast your eyes on during the day.
Next, a meaty affair at the Atelier with its convivial fireside atmosphere and the showpiece of an authentic rotisserie giving it an extraordinary appeal. That's even without mentioning that Atelier is but a stone's throw away from the stunning Notre Dame and, as such, boasts tremendous views when the structure is lit up at night.
Market-fresh cuisine arrives here just before you do and meets the enthusiasm of Chef Emmanuel Monsallier, with the best of the dishes revolving around the succulent revolving meat with everything from spit-roasted chicken, to sea bass goujonnettes and everything in between. Dine in either the classical Mantel Piece by a roaring fireplace or in the sleek style of the contemporary Library Dining Room for a truly divine evening.
A modern brewery and restaurant, Stay is a restaurant of understated luxury, simply decorated and unfussy to create a universal appeal. Still, that doesn't mean Stay doesn't strive for excellence across the board, with attentive table service and a freedom of choice in its menus, Stay is unassuming and surrounds itself in an aura of comfort.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you'll find plenty to get the taste buds tingling here. This is a restaurant where the pastry showcases, but has a strong accompaniment of contemporary fish and meat dishes, most with unique twists and combinations on wonderfully compiled banquet menus.
No doubt if you're in Paris on the 21st of March, you'll have a great time discovering yet more of the incredible (or Good) France cuisine.
