Fly to New York for the World’s Best New Year’s Party

New York is officially the best place in the world to party, according to a recent survey by Hotels.com which assessed the opinions of 27,000 travellers. When it comes to staying up until the early hours, tourists from all over the world have decided New York City is the place to be. Other cities that were in the running for the title of 'party paradise' were London, Paris, Barcelona and Las Vegas, the latter of which landed in second place. It seems that what draws people to The Big Apple as their top choice is the diverse selection of bars, restaurants and clubs that cater for those looking for anything from cheap and cheerful eats to upmarket events and parties. Last year around one million British tourists made their way to New York to sample the night life and eat at the abundant range of affordable dining options the city has to offer. It is estimated that one million party seekers will visit New York City for New Year's Eve, most of whom are expected to join the huge crowds that will be watching the famous Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop. Apart from the top two, the list of top ten cities for nightlife is largely dominated by European cities such as London and Paris, with Berlin, Amsterdam and Madrid also making the list. Alison Couper, spokesperson for Hotels.com, said that Europe’s cities are particularly popular with travellers and tourists because of the “variety amongst the European Cites,” which makes them “interesting and exciting for travellers from all around the globe.” Image Sources: 1 2 3
