The New York Post is offering visitors to New York the chance to hop on board its gossip packed bus tour that takes passengers around the city offering them the scoop behind New York's biggest headlines.
The tell-all Headline bus tour promises to keep passengers on holiday in New York up to date with the latest gossip in the city while driving through the busy streets. The tour aims to show its passengers some of the places where The Big Apple's most “colourfull headlines” took place. A visit to the topless bar in Queens where a headless body was found is just one of the unique locations the New York Post operated bus tour takes its guests. Tour guides on-board the gossip bus will give passengers the inside scoop on events such as Charlie Sheen's infamous meltdown at The Plaza, back in 2011. “Overall, I want it to be fun for people,” said Jesse Angelo of the New York Post. “That’s the whole point. Every tour on earth tells you about The Plaza. None of them tells you about Charlie Sheen.” The tours will take tourists to the locations to some of the city's wackiest headlines, such as the tanning salon frequented by a mother from New Jersey who made the “Toast of the Town” headline following her obsession with sun beds. Passengers will also visit the location where Congressman Anthony Weiner famously tweeted a photo of his crotch and then later denied it was him. The newspaper has teamed up with Metro Sightseeing, part of New York Cruise Lines, to bring this unique tour to the city. "We were thrilled at the prospect of partnering with the Post on the Headlines tour. We try to offer as authentic a New York experience as possible and it doesn’t get more authentic New York than the Post," said Jason Hackett, chief marketing officer of New York Cruise Lines. Tickets for the Headline Bus tour are $49 each and the tours last 2 and a half hours. Image sources: 123
