Fashion bids farewell to London and heads to Milan

The last day of London Fashion Week is finally here and as fashion fans, fashionistas, celebrities, models and designers prepare to see the week out in style, Milan is gearing up for its very own week of Fashion. Whoever said fashion stops for no one wasn't kidding - there’s absolutely no time for rest as Milan Fashion Week seamlessly kicks off as soon as London Fashion Week ends. Tomorrow Milan will welcome hordes of the world’s most glamorous and famous faces to the fabulous streets of Italy to showcase the newest looks for Autumn/Winter 2013/14. After taking a short break following its successful Men’s Fashion Week in January, Milan is set for a week of glamour, style and gossip as fashion’s A-listers descend on the city. The last two weeks have been full of style shocks and gossip as Rihanna debuted her new line for River Island to a less than welcoming reception and John Galliano made his controversial return to fashion and this week is sure to deliver even more fashion shockers. Model of moment Cara Delevingne is set to dominate the runways for a third week in a row and Italian designer for Gucci Frida Giannini will have the honour of kicking off this year’s Milan Fashion Week.  Thursday will see Fendi, Cavalli, Prada and DSquared2 showcasing the new looks of the season and playful brand Moschino is set to be the highlight for Fridays show with big, bright, bold designs expected to dominate the day. Milan Fashion Week will continue though to next Tuesday before handing over to Paris for the final week of Autumn/Winter Fashion. Image sources: 1 2 3
