Discovering the Wonders of The Great Barrier Reef

Beautiful. Mystical. Magical. Just some of the words used to describe the Great Barrier Reef by Sir David Attenborough himself in his recent BBC One Documentary on the Natural Wonder. Diving to remarkable depths and getting unrivalled footage, Sir David and his team gave us all an incredible insight into what it is like to experience such natural beauty first-hand. With this wanderlust still fresh in our minds, we'd like to share a little more with you.

Stretching for over 2000km, the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef is almost inconceivable to the mind in terms of its size. It is the largest living structure in the world and it is its unfathomable size that will hit you first, assuming you first lay eyes on it from the skies. Embark on a Reef Air Adventure to get a feel of this natural wonder that you won't get in any other way.

An inspirational and romantic experience, flying over the expansive reef will only make you more eager to get up close and personal with this underwater 'city' for yourself, meet the locals and get a feel for the impossibly clear blue waters below.

Now comes the time to do just that. You can see this living masterpiece in a number of ways too. You can swim, snorkel, dive and even sail your way around this treasured site on the Queensland coastline. Choose which of the Great Dives you want to do as you embark on the most exciting of underwater adventures, taking away your very own snapshot of a mere handful of the circa 3000 individual reefs below. Whether it be the Ribbon Reefs to the north, with the chance to see cuttlefish and Minke whales, the Osprey Reef's manta rays and colourful soft coral or The Whitsundays for its passing turtles and sailing opportunities.
