Burj Al Arab's New North Deck

Exciting news at one of the world's most luxurious and iconic hotels, as the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab prepares to unveil its newest addition set to further enhance its already superb experience. The hotel is set to open The North Deck to its guests in the coming months, aiming to further cement its place as one of the most coveted holiday destinations in the world. Today, we take a look at what exactly we can expect from The North Deck.

Having been developed by marine construction experts at a specialist shipyard in Finland (that usually develops cruise ships and yachts), this revolutionary deck made from steel is currently on its way to Dubai. The 5,000 tonne, 10,000 square metre structure is being transported by sea before it is installed on site using a technique never attempted before.

The North Deck was built off-shore in this way in order to minimise disruption to guests and any impact to the ocean environment in Dubai - something that the Burj Al Arab prides itself on. In addition to this, the environmentally-sound deck will provide the benefits of an artificial reef and shade for marine life in the area.

Opening in the second quarter of this year, the deck will fan 100 metres out into the Arabian Gulf, creating a luxury area to bask in the glory of the Dubai sunshine. Featuring 32 cabanas, 400 sun loungers, a restaurant and a bar, this deck looks all set to have everything you'll need to unwind. That's without mentioning the expansive fresh water and salt water pools, ready to help you cool off from an afternoon of lazing in the sun.

So brace yourselves for the end of Spring, as this is when the deck is expected to be opened to what will most certainly be a rousing reception from many. Book today to be one of the first to make use of this incredible facility!
